TENEYA LAKE

TENEYA LAKE, originally uploaded by iview1.
Thank you, Sushil. well observed. This picture has been taken a year ago in Neveda Siera mountains which is also part of Yosemite in the travel guides. I had only less than half-an hour to take as many pictures I could of this beautiful lake....Although, I have used my instincts rather than my my skills, most of the shots turned out to be great, but not extraordinary. Using HDR tech, I have processed more than a dozen of these images, but all labeled as "failure" and archived.Something was quite not right. This lake was cursed:) More tha a year has passed , and being a strong-headed, never know how to quit, I have once again generated an HDR image in Photomatix...this time armed mentalyl and and state of the art of the art tools such as Akvis Enhancer, Microsoft Digital Imaging Suit and, of course, PS C4 Extented. This time I wanted to replce the plain, azure sky with some partially cloudy sky....Vola! I'm 50% satified, much better than 5%. As for the halo you mentioned: I want you to look more carefully again. A halo occurs around the edges due to excessive over-sharpnening., and isually about 1.3-1.8px in dimension, whereas here, it's beyond the parameters to be seen as a halo. I knew it was disturbing whether a halo or not from the get-go... But I just hate to follow every rules. Before submitting to publication, I test the image on Flickr. Think of of as the same color with the left upper, deep blue? It would not only look artificial, it would be detached from the left cloudy sky as well...wait for a surprize enhancement shortly. I really appreciate your attention and the great eye for details...I need your feedback anytime, on any picture. Now, we'll have to encourage others to do same...Thank you
